Last night was a night full of speeches by some of the best leadership in America. Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and Rudy Guiliani all spoke in support of McCain and especially in support of Sarah Palin. Today there were a number of leaders who spoke about John McCain, this country and those in service of it. This was the first full day we have had and it was a long day, but oh so fun. The Colorado and Idaho delegations got a surprise this morning! Laura Bush showed up to speak a bit about John McCain and the importance of Colorado to this election. It was very exciting as I was sitting in the very front not five feet away from Mrs. Bush. A slow day, but good times

Well, due to Hurricane Gus, our convention schedule has been postponed which is as it should be. The short session that did occur was business related only. While in the session, we heard from 4 Governors who are being affected by the storm, and very appropriately they are all Republicans. They are all much better prepared for this storm than they were for Katrina which is a godsend, but I our hearts all go out [+]

As I got on the plane today to leave Denver for Minneapolis, I received the best sort of send-off gift; I was on the front page of the Daily Camera and I was featured in an article in the Broomfield Enterprise.
