Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and Rudy Guiliani all spoke in support of McCain and especially in support of Sarah Palin. There is much to be said about each of their speeches but since I know everyone out there saw it last [+]A day of leadership…
Today there were a number of leaders who spoke about John McCain, this country and those in service of it. This was the first full day we have had and it was a long day, but oh so fun. And lucky for me, my dad happened to be in town for business, so he was my guest today at the convention. It was so much fun. We went to a party before the convention started [+]I got to see Laura Bush!
The Colorado and Idaho delegations got a surprise this morning! Laura Bush showed up to speak a bit about John McCain and the importance of Colorado to this election. It was very exciting as I was sitting in the very front not five feet away from Mrs. Bush. While she did not have time to meet us or take pictures with us this morning, I hope that this evening I will be able to get [+]A slow day, but good times
Well, due to Hurricane Gus, our convention schedule has been postponed which is as it should be. The short session that did occur was business related only. While in the session, we heard from 4 Governors who are being affected by the storm, and very appropriately they are all Republicans. They are all much better prepared for this storm than they were for Katrina which is a godsend, but I our hearts all go out [+]A Goodbye Worth Mentioning
As I got on the plane today to leave Denver for Minneapolis, I received the best sort of send-off gift; I was on the front page of the Daily Camera and I was featured in an article in the Broomfield Enterprise. For some this might be a nothing special, but for me this is an event to write home about! Well... it would be if my family didn't already receive the newspapers! But none the less, I [+]
